On December 29th 2020, The Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-CEA) held the conference of civil servants and officials and 2020 year-end summary.
Delegations joined this event: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - VNU Vice President; Mr. Nguyen Thai Son - Deputy Head of Education Accreditation Division, Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). On the side of VNU-CEA were Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Standing Vice Director and Dr. Dinh Van Toan - Vice Director together with all civil servants and officials.

At the conference, on behalf of VNU-CEA, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien reported on achievements in 2020 and made a plan for 2021. 2020 is a year of many changes and difficulties related to the organization and activities of VNU-CEA, but with the determination and political stability of all civil servants and officials of VNU-CEA, the close support and direction of VNU, the assistance from MOET, VNU-CEA has successfully completed their tasks in 2020. About education accreditation, by the end of December 2020, VNU-CEA has received the registration for external assessment of 82 universities, 11 colleges and 193 higher education programs.
In terms of cooperation, the VNU-CEA maintains and expands relationships with partners such as: Department of Schools - Ministry of National Defence, Department of Training - Ministry of Public Security, higher education institutions and some Department of Education and Training and especially the cooperation with the General Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs in designing tools for vocational education quality accreditation assessment. There are achievements in international cooperation: attending the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN) Annual Meeting; commenting on AQAN Constitution and By-Laws and the Strategic Plan 2020-2022 of the ASEAN Young Quality Assurance Officers Network (AYQON), which the VNU-CEA represents Vietnam as permanent member.
In 2020, VNU-CEA’s civil servants and officials has been actively doing scientific research: completion of 01 scientific project at VNU level and participation in 03 projects at national level; being chief author of 01 textbox; publication of 11 scientific articles in prestigious domestic journals and 03 in international ISI/Scopus indexed journals; registration of copyright 01 sofware supporting education accreditation activities.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thai Son recognized and praised the continuous efforts and achievements of all the members of VNU-CEA in 2020.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - Permanent Vice President of VNU-CEA spoke
On behalf of VNU’s Board, VNU Vice President Nguyen Hoang Hai acknowledged and praised the VNU-CEA for actively adapting, changing to successfully complete the tasks set out in 2020. VNU Vice President directed, in the coming time, VNU-CEA should continue to have a good monitoring mechanism, promote digitization as planned and soon stabilize the organizational structure in line with the new situation.
At the end of the conference, the Conference discussed and voted to approve the Resolution with some important targets in the VNU-CEA’s 2021 mission plan.
